I think I was sitting right on top of a wave I’ve been riding on with postpartum depression - finally a fleeting moment to gasp for air. For this brief moment in time, this 8 hours time-gap of a moment, I was able to process my feelings and learn to accept the realities of my life positively. My whole world was shook. The colors looked different, my old routine seemingly foreign, the person in the mirror is unrecognizable. I am a stranger with new responsibilities and priorities - my old life left me and no longer served me. It has finally settled. In this quick haze of clarity, my goodness I was able to see life for more than what I thought I knew.

If you didn’t believe in magic or heaven or any mythical being, creating a human, birthing and nourishing a precious stranger with your own body will do the trick. My head could not comprehend how it was all possible. To bring life and soul onto this earth.

I have always been spiritual and understood there are many things we do not yet know or understand. But in my own moment in time, I felt life all around me was magic. Everything on Earth is alive and connected with body and soul. From the trees (green), to the dirt of the earth (charcoal), the wind in my hair (white), and the endless sky above us (top white) - they are always unifying and merging with magic. The baby I brought earth-side, is also part of that magic. I am part of that magic. And what a wondrous thing to be a part of.
